If you interact with your customers in person and want to collect feedback from them on-site, Kiosk Mode is the perfect solution. This feature is particularly useful for businesses like restaurants, medical offices, and handymen. To use Kiosk Mode, simply provide your customer with an iPad or similar tablet device and have them visit your unique Kiosk URL.
The best part about Kiosk Mode is that it does not require customers to log in to leave a review. This ensures that online reviews are not all coming from the same IP address, and also protects the privacy and security of customers who may accidentally stay logged in on a publicly-used device. Kiosk Mode collects on-site reviews and follows up with online review links via email.
To access your Kiosk Mode URL:
- Log in to your AveyReviews.com account.
- If you have multiple locations, select the location you want to get the Kiosk Mode URL for.
- From the menu, go to Requests > Kiosk Mode and copy the URL using the Copy link button.
- Save the Kiosk Mode URL as a bookmark, home screen icon, or favorite for quick access.
Pro Tip 1: If you’re using an iPad, you can download the Atomic or Dolphin browser to hide the address bar and create an app-like environment. Pro Tip 2: iPad users can also use “Guided Access” to lock parts of the screen.
It’s important to note that online review links will not be displayed on the “Positive Feedback Thank You” page. If customers leave online reviews on your device, all reviews will come from your IP address, which is not ideal. Additionally, requiring customers to log in to their Facebook, Google, or other profiles on your device could cause issues if they are not logged out correctly. Instead, online review links are only shown in the “Positive Feedback Thank You” email, which is sent directly to the customer’s inbox. For negative feedback, a customized message can be displayed to customers, and you can set the threshold for what is considered positive and negative feedback in your Feedback Settings.
